The district is a 1:1 district with Preschool-first grade using iPads 2-12 using Chromebooks or laptops which provide excellent student access to the technology. Teachers have additional technology for their instructional use and do not have to share equipment with students. Ninety percent of all teachers are eMINTS trained and place a strong emphasis on inquiry based instruction. Thirty seven interactive boards (Viewsonic and SMART) enhance classroom instruction as well as give students additional experiences and knowledge with technology.
Google Workplace school with all students/staff having Google accounts. Extensive use of Google Classroom, slides, sheets, drive, docs, etc. allows students to learn skills to help them be successful as a 21st Century citizen.
Participation in MIT-E Interactive Television network, linking New Franklin with Central Methodist University and other area school districts, enables the district to offer a wider variety of courses to the students, including those for college credit.
Designated A+ School, allowing the expansion of course offerings, more career guidance and planning, and vocational placement, better prepares all students for careers and further learning, and ensures that students stay in school.
Extracurricular activities/organizations include: speech and drama, vocal music, instrumental music, National Honor Society, art competition, academic competition, science competition, Future Farmers of America, Future Business Leaders's of America, Student Council, Yearbook, Lettermen's Club, Renaissance Program, Science Club, and interscholastic athletics that include baseball, softball, basketball, cross country track, golf, cheerleading, and track.
