Title 1
Title 1 provides financial assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. Title 1 classes provide opportunities for students to receive additional instruction, if needed, in the areas of reading and math. A smaller teacher-pupil ratio during Title 1 instruction allows for more individualized instruction.
New Franklin R-1 Elementary is considered a Title1 School.
