Vocational Education

Vocational Education is provided to eligible New Franklin R-1 students by Boonslick Technical Education Center in Boonville, MO

Beginning the 2013-2014 school year, enrollment in Boonslick Vocational School (BTech) is limited to the morning session only.  Students must enroll for all 3 hours of the VoTech daily session rather than selecting individual classes and returning to New Franklin for classes during the morning session.  Only classes in programs no offered in New Franklin are available.


Requirements for enrollment in the Boonslick Vo-Tech Program

    Must be a Junior or Senior at the beginning of the upcoming school year

    95% attendance rate in every class for the previous year (cannot miss more than 8 hours in any one class)

    GPA of 2 or higher

    Meet acceptable levels of behavior/citizenship as listed in the handbook and with the approval of the principal

    Vo-Tech classes will be considered a Practical Art of an Elective. No additional embedded credit will be accepted    

    Students are expected to rid the bus to and from Vo-Tech unless special permission has been granted by the Superintendent's Office

    Working in Boonville after school is NOT a valid special permission request

    Vo-Tech students who fall below any of these levels will be required to withdraw from the program and enroll in regular classes at the New Franklin Campus
