MSHS Principal
The New Franklin School District would like to welcome Mr. Ross Dobson back to New Franklin as our Middle/High School Principal for the 2024-25 school year. Mr. Dobson is a New Franklin graduate and former teacher in the district. He has spent the past two years as High School Principal in the Fayette School District.
HS Ag
The New Franklin R-1 School District is excited to welcome Ms. Laney Swiers to our staff as an Agricultural Education Teacher and FFA Advisor. Ms. Swiers is a graduate of the University of Minnesota-Crookston and has an extensive background in agriculture and FFA. Ms. Swiers is originally from northwest Minnesota,
4th Grade
The New Franklin School District would like to welcome Mrs. Christina Fischer to her new role as a 4th grade teacher next year. Mrs. Fischer lives in Howard County with her husband Brian and four children, Asa, Brenna, Eli and Owen. This will be her first year teaching in a classroom. In her spare time she likes to read, work in the garden, and hike. Mrs. Fischer says she is really looking forward to teaching next year.
3rd Grade
The New Franklin School District would like to welcome Miss Maggie Myers. She will be teaching 3rd grade next year. She graduated in December from Missouri Valley College with her degree in Early Childhood Education. Miss Myers lives in Boonville with her family. In her spare time she enjoys watching Disney movies, and spending time with her family. She can’t wait to start her career as a New Franklin Bulldog!
Elem Counselor
The New Franklin School District would like to welcome Mrs. Jessica Schaefer. Jessica will be the Elementary Counselor next year. Jessica has been married to Greg for 23 years and she is a mother to Connor, KatiJo, and Christopher. She graduated from Glasgow High School in 1998. She has worked in Childcare Centers, in-home childcare, and worked at St. Mary’s school for fourteen years. She has a passion for helping and supporting our youth in education. She looks forward to becoming familiar with the students and their families in New Franklin!
HS SpEd
The New Franklin School District would like to welcome Ms. Lindie Adair. Lindie will be teaching HS Special Education next year. Lindie graduated from Boonville High School in 2011. She went on to play softball and soccer at CMU and got a degree in Sports Management. She then joined the United States Air Force and was an Intelligence Analyst at Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City, SD. After that she shifted her career and moved to North Dakota for a while and worked in the oil fields. She decided to move back home and chase after her dream of coaching and teaching. Her goal is to inspire young athletes and kids to not only be great athletes and students but also to be great human-beings.
Lindie is blessed to have a great support system. Lindie and her fiancé Jackie have 3 kids. Family means everything to Lindie and she receives lots of help and support from them. She is so excited for this next chapter in her career and she can’t wait to get started and to see what the 2024-25 school year brings!
Elem Principal
The New Franklin School District would like to welcome Melissa Austin as our new Elementary Principal. She has 21 years of teaching experience, the past 9 of those being in the Boonville School District. During her time in Boonville she was a third grade teacher and a Reading Specialist at both elementary buildings. In 2021 she completed her Specialist degree in K-12 Administration from Northwest Missouri State University.
She is married to Doug, who is a history teacher at LSE Middle School in Boonville. They have 2 amazing children Kailee and Eli.
Melissa says she "looks forward to getting to know everyone in the community and working together to provide the best learning experience for students at New Franklin Elementary."
Elem Music
The New Franklin School District would like to welcome Anna Pendergrass as our new Elementary Music teacher. She is originally from Sullivan, Missouri and will be graduating from Central Methodist University in May with a Bachelor of Music Education. In high school, she was very involved in marching and concert band, choir, theatre, and many other organizations. While in college she participated in the choir, opera, and theatre department. She is also involved in various clubs and organizations in the music community at CMU. She is so excited to start her teaching career at New Franklin, and she cannot wait to meet all of her students and to share her love of music with all of them!
MS ELA
The New Franklin School District welcomes Eric Rhorer. Eric will be teaching MS Language Arts next year. Eric graduated from Boonville High School in 2004. Eric resides in New Franklin with his wife Maile, their two children and nephew. Eric enjoys connecting with kids and young athletes in the classroom and through his baseball academy. Eric can’t wait to get started and to see what the 2024-25 school year brings!
Elem Art
The New Franklin School District is proud to welcome Mrs. Nikki Ueligger!
My name is Nikki Ueligger and I currently live in Boonville, Missouri. My husband Ernie and I have been married for 17 years! We are raising four children , ages first grade to ninth grade. Both my husband and I grew up in Cooper County. We met in 2004, while working at Country Mart. I graduated from Boonville in 2005. We soon married in 2007. We welcomed our first child, Elijah, in 2009 while in college. In 2011 my husband graduated MU- Law, I received my bachelor’s degree from MU, we welcomed our daughter, Hannah, and we moved to Boonville! Quite the year! I worked as a paraprofessional in the Boonville School district for 7 years and welcomed our last two boys to complete our family. Easton in 2014 and Emmitt in2016. I am excited for this new journey as a Bulldog and your Elementary Art teacher! I truly am blessed and look forward to meeting each student! - Mrs. Ueligger
2nd Grade
The New Franklin School District is pleased to welcome Ms. Gabrianna Webster. Ms. Webster will be teaching 2nd grade next year. She was born and raised in Boonville, MO. She is the oldest in her family with 3 siblings. She graduated from Boonville High School in 2020. In high school she was involved in basketball, volleyball, and managed track. When she got to CMU, the pandemic was still an issue, which made it difficult for her to play a sport as a commuting student, although she would've loved to! Instead, she joined a sorority on campus so that she could be more involved with the school. She is graduating from Central Methodist University in May with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She is so excited to start this new adventure with the New Franklin School District and look forward to helping her students grow!
