The New Franklin School District would like to welcome Mr. Ross Dobson back to New Franklin as our Middle/High School Principal for the 2024-25 school year.  Mr. Dobson is a New Franklin graduate and former teacher in the district.  He has spent the past two years as High School Principal in the Fayette School District.

High School Ag Teacher
The New Franklin R-1 School District is accepting applications for the position of Agriculture Education Instructor for grades 9-12 for the 2024-25 school year. The applicant should be energetic and passionate about educating children with an outgoing personality. The District has been frequently recognized with Distinction in Performance, is an eMINTS model school district, is an A+ school, a member of the MU Partnership, immersed in inquiry instruction, and well equipped with classroom technology. Applicants should be certified by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education or have completed the necessary criteria for certification with certification pending. Elementary Counselor
The New Franklin R-1 School District is currently accepting applications for elementary counselor for the 2024-25 school year.  The counselor will provide classroom guidance counseling, small group counseling, coordinate MAP testing, and connect with families and communities for resources. Elementary Teacher

Middle School Special Education Teacher
New Franklin R-I School District has an opening for a middle school special education teacher for the 2024-25 school year. The qualified individual will be enthusiastic, organized and have strong communication skills. This teacher will work with a wide variety of students from 6th to 8th grade. The teacher will write IEP's, participate in student evaluations and provide specialized instruction. Applications can be found at nfranklin.k12.mo.us. Paraprofessional

Custodian
The New Franklin R-1 School District is accepting applications for a custodian.  Your job duties will include but are not limited to: emptying trash and recycle receptacles, dust mopping and mopping floors, cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, offices, bathrooms, hallways and common areas, vacuuming carpets, and maintaining the overall appearance of the building inside and out. We are looking for these traits in our applicants: self motivation, reliable, self organized, good at problem solving and able to work alone or as a team. Successful candidates should be able to lift 75 pounds and be able to climb on a ladder, as well as have knowledge in running different types of cleaning equipment such as a floor scrubber,  hi or low speed buffer, and bathroom cleaning machine. Applicants must be able to pass a background check. Experience is a plus, but we will train the right candidate. Substitute Teachers (sub application)

Substitute Bus Driver (staff application)
The New Franklin R-1 School District is accepting applications for a substitute school bus driver.  Bus drivers are responsible for operating a school bus and transporting school-aged children and other authorized personnel safely and efficiently over specified routes from school and various activities.  Job duties include, but are not limited to, conducting pre-trip inspections; observing safely regulations and policies, and enforcing student discipline.  Applicants must pass a background check and have a MO Class B drivers license with passenger and school bus endorsements.
