 Principal's Notes:

Dear Bulldog Families,

Welcome Back!!!   I have sure missed our families and students.  I hope you have had an enjoyable summer, even under such strange circumstances.  NF schools have been working extremely hard to come up with a plan to keep our families and faculty/staff safe, as well as providing a quality education.  Your patience and flexibility are greatly appreciated!  In our student handbook, most of the information has remained the same, however due to Covid-19 and guidance from the CDC, MSBA, DESE, and the Ho. Co. Health Department we have had to make a few adjustments and changes.  PLEASE remember that this is a temporary situation!  Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding!  As always, please feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions.  You are truly your child’s best advocate.  If I am unable to answer your question, I will do my best to find out the answer.  The following are the most noteworthy changes that are in the student handbook.

Handbook Changes Due to Covid-19 Restrictions

·       Holiday Classroom parties and Birthday parties will still take place; however, parents will not be allowed to attend.  All treats will need to be store bought, prepackaged, individually wrapped items.

·       We will not utilize PTO Aides this school year.

·       We will not be taking field trips at this time.

·       October Parent/Teacher conferences will likely be by zoom or phone conference.

·       Please use My School Bucks if at all possible.  However, if you need to send lunch money, please send checks or bills only in sealed envelope or Ziploc bag with your child’s name on it and the amount enclosed.

·       In order to contact trace effectively, we are asking that students do the same thing each day coming to and from school.  Students will only be allowed to ride their own school bus.  Seating charts will be utilized on all busses.

·       When picking your child up for appointments etc., please send a note to the classroom teacher, and call ahead.  Once you arrive to pick up your child, call the office at 660-848-2112 and we will bring your child to the door.  Instead of the parent signing their child out, we will do a visual acknowledgement, and sign your child out for you.

·       Please keep in mind that these could change, as directives from the Howard County Health Department or the State of Mo mandate us to do so.

Once again, thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate through the 2020-21 school year!     NF Bulldogs are strong!
