Focus: To assist teachers and students to effectively integrate the 21st century technical skills into the learning process.

Technology Vision Statement:

The New Franklin R-I School District takes on the vision of preparing our students, staff and parents to utilities and be comfortable implementing the tools of the digital age. We must be able to provide the experiences of connecting with our partners in this global society. We must put a greater emphasis on intuitive thinking, in-depth questioning and making our school an information literate community. The school staff will become coaches rather than teachers -helping reluctant students, staff and parents to become comfortable and skillful using technology.

We must be more vigorous in our efforts to maintain the quality of equipment that we make available to our constituents. The New Franklin R-I School must see themselves more as a consumer in technology rather than a dumping ground for overstocked and antiquated equipment. It is the vision of the district to provide computers of sufficient power to enable the newest technologies as they become available.

The administration and technology personnel must continue to provide the necessary support to students, staff, and parents of the district to insure the utmost ease in implementing and obtaining the educational goals and standards.
